More Than One Night - Marie Tuhart This was a freebie that popped up on my Goodreads feed the other day so I snagged it. It was free. The blurb sounded good, I wanted some steam and overall I figured I didn’t have anything to lose except some time. I didn’t hate it but I for sure didn’t love it. First and foremost I will state if you are going to include animals in your book you need to treat them right. That means, they need to go outside even if you are broken hearted and never, ever do you just not come home. If you aren’t going to care for your animals in the book why include them at all? Ok, that kind of really bugged me. Back to the review. I don’t like to leave bad reviews of books but do like to state my opinion. I just didn’t like Beth. I didn’t understand where she was coming from. It wasn’t until the very end that we learned what really happened in her past to make her who she was now but it just didn’t add up for me. So, not liking the main character makes it a little bit hard to like the book. I felt so bad for Jake. I don’t even know why he put up with what he did or how he did. The steamy scenes were pretty good and for a freebie I guess that makes it worth it!
